Bring exceptional architecture from design to reality!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Architect to support the construction and execution phases of our projects in Albania.
Depending on the project and construction phase, the role may require a regular presence on site in Tirana or Dhërmi. Candidates should therefore be comfortable with regular travel between project locations and be aware of the travel time involved when working on sites outside Tirana.
As part of Oppenheim Architecture’s project team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our architectural design intent is maintained throughout construction. Working closely with Clients, contractors, consultants, and our international design teams, you will coordinate architectural matters on site and help translate ambitious designs into high-quality built projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent Oppenheim Architecture during the construction and execution phases of our projects
- Coordinate closely with Clients, contractors, consultants, and our internal project teams
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor the works for compliance with the architectural design intent
- Review relevant construction documentation, shop drawings, materials, samples, and mock-ups
- Identify and coordinate the resolution of architectural and construction-related issues arising during execution
- Support interdisciplinary coordination and ensure clear communication and follow-up between all involved parties
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong technical and construction knowledge with substantial on-site experience
- Excellent understanding of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, and construction methods
- Proven experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in representing the architect directly with Clients and project stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working independently
- Fluency in English and Albanian, both spoken and written
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification
- Several years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong focus on construction and execution
- Proven experience working directly on construction sites
- Experience on large-scale and complex projects is strongly preferred
- Experience working within international project teams is an advantage
- Based in Albania and available for regular presence on our project sites
- Willingness and flexibility to travel between Tirana, Dhërmi, and other project locations in Albania as required
